QuEST Global
Job Requirements
Develop and review mechanical engineering deliverables including equipment specifications, data sheets, calculations, and technical drawings (P&IDs, equipment layouts, etc.). Ensure designs for process equipment and machinery (e.g., pellet mills, crushers, conveyors, piping systems) comply with project requirements and functional needs.Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with overall plant design.Must have Field experience in industrial plants or EPC Projects includes Field assessment, troubleshooting mechanical issues on-site to resolve site-specific challenges.Act as the primary point of contact for mechanical engineering queries between EPC and Client. Ensure all mechanical designs adhere to applicable international codes, standards, and best practices.Collaborate with procurement and the suppliers to clarify technical requirements, address deviations, and ensure equipment purchased (pumps, motors, fabrication of machinery, etc.) will fulfill the design intent.Provide mechanical engineering support on-site during the construction and installation phase including but not limited to answering Requests for Information (RFIs) from the field, resolving site queries related to mechanical designs, and modifying designs or drawings if needed to suit actual site conditions.Ensure that mechanical design activities progress on time to meet EPC deadlines and that any potential delays or issues are flagged early.Maintain an organized record of mechanical documents, design changes, and decisions to support project handover and future reference.Ensure mechanical systems are designed with safety in mind considering “safety by design” principles (such as adequate access for maintenance, proper guarding of moving parts, and mitigation of dust or fire hazards in a biomass pellet facility) as part of the design process.FEED and EPC for a pellet production plantInfrastructure development (land preparation, soil preparation, electricity, water)Pellet production facilities (roof structure only)Product storage facilities
