Job Description
Responsibilities of the Federal Video Sales Account Manager:
Promote and market Motorola video security products and services within the Federal Government agenciesWork with the Motorola Account Executives and channel partners to identify, qualify, develop and close video sales opportunities within the Federal GovernmentDemonstrate and present the value proposition of Motorola’s video security solutions portfolio to Federal government customersDevelop and execute business strategies to capture qualified opportunities to include identifying strategic partners to assist in securing business opportunities and the shaping of contracting strategiesConduct sales calls, schedule promotional work, and track sales activities with channel, end user and distributor opportunities using lead and project tracking software databasesEngage with channel partners to coordinate and deliver bid responses, prepare for upcoming bidsWork with Motorola’s marketing team to develop Federal Government-centric tools, documentation and communications to further grow Pelco’s awareness and demand in the Federal marketplace to include trade show participationRegularly attend meetings with end customers and internal colleagues to gather information and provide feedback on what products and services are in demand and how to best deploy those products and services to meet the video security needs of Federal Government customersMeet all expectations from customers and management for timely communication in response to questions, comments, documentation, bid submissions or other matters as needed to fulfill the obligations of this positionDevelop and execute mid and long-term strategies to ensure continued growth and solution alignmentQualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred5+ years of sales experience with a strong preference toward federal government sales experienceUnderstanding of the Federal Government marketplace including Federal procurement, budgeting and contracting regulations and processesExperience selling video security solutions into the Federal marketplaceKnowledge of channel integration and distribution methodologyMust have excellent relationships and/or the ability to build relationships, with senior leadership of channel partners, IT solutions providers, and large system integratorsExperience selling large solutions systems or large, long-cycle complex deals or acting as a consultant in large dealsExperience in creating and shaping demand in Federal marketplace with a proven track record of sales growth resultsPossess strong presentation and product demonstration capabilitiesMust be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contractTerritory:
