**Primary Purpose**
**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION**
Function as the primary reporting lead for corporate political giving and contributions and for oversight of federal grant/funding origination opportunities, associated processes and compliance activities. Support the development and drafting of key policy-related thought leadership papers. Provide general support to the Federal Affairs team including the areas of regulatory affairs strategy, policy position development and relationships with key government agencies and external organizations.
**Primary Duties**
**PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
+ Lead the development of the semi-annual Political Giving and Other Contributions Report. Plan and develop each cycle's schedule and delivery accordingly. Review the governing policy and work with applicable parties on updates and revisions, as necessary. Work with and lead a broad group of stakeholders to collect and verify data required for final report. Develop report and socialize with key leadership for approval and final delivery to Exelon Board. (25%)
+ Lead the PMO for all federal grant and funding opportunities across the enterprise. Monitor and track potential grant opportunities for consideration. Provide strategic insight and coordination for grant application prioritization. Provide oversight and support to operating companies throughout the application, award, and implementation process in accordance to federal grants governance policy on all phases of grants. Conduct monthly federal grants leads call, coordinate for material preparation prior to the meeting. (25%)
+ Provide input to corporate leadership team and other business units to shape the Company's strategic direction through federal regulatory policy development and initiatives. Draft thought leadership pieces and develop supporting materials to inform and implement key policies positions and initiatives. (25%)
+ Identify, manage, facilitate resolution of issues, and improve workflow processes affecting Federal Affairs teams and its key strategic objectives. (10%)
+ Actively participate in organizations and associations and gain increased awareness of key federal initiatives and developments as they relate to the Company. (10%)
+ Interface with federal agencies and congressional leadership in support of key policy and strategic initiatives. (5%)
**Job Scope**
**JOB SCOPE**
+ Position requires development of strategic relationships with key decision makers in the governmental, business and community sectors. Also requires detailed knowledge of corporate policies, laws/legislation, government policies and political climates that can affect business strategy.
+ Independent contributor, reporting to Director, Transportation & Federal Partnerships
+ Takes direction from VP, Directors and/or project team leads
+ Manages cross-functional special project teams as needed
+ Interacts regularly with key managers and executives on issues
+ Provides periodic written/oral presentations to key managers and executives on analysis of issues
+ Occasional travel across Exelon sites and business units as required (less than 20%)
**Minimum Qualifications**
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Public/Governmental relations
+ 7 - 10 years of industry/related experience
+ Ability to frame ambiguous issues and structure appropriate analysis
+ Demonstrated ability to apply strategic and critical thinking to problem solving
+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work productively with diverse teams
+ Solid written and oral communication skills - ability to translate analysis into key messages and develop story line associated with project analysis
+ Ability to work independently to advance assignments and developing ability to drive efforts to completion
+ In lieu of degree, 9-12 years of relevant experience

+ Master's degree in business, economics, political science, policy or other related discipline
+ Knowledge of energy industry
+ Experience in one or more of the following: regulatory or energy experience or experience in a regulated sector

+ Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $112,000.00/Yr. – $154,000.00/Yr.
