FCC Production Operator** **Attapulgus, GA.** We are looking for a FCC Production Operator to join our Catalyst team in Attapulgus, GA. **Come create chemistry with us!** BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services. **During your 8-hour rotating shift as a FCC Production Operator, you will** + Perform operator rounds (safety and performance inspections) and identify items requiring corrective work. + Perform Equipment Specific Lockouts and Safe Work Permitting. + Perform routine housekeeping tasks in area of responsibility. + Startup and shut down production plants. + Perform outside operator tasks, including manipulation of valves, startup/shutdown of pumps, cleanout of spray bars and equipment, and monitoring of performance of production processes. + Perform routine operational preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. + Collect process samples and perform routine lab tests. + Explain the flow of the plant and name equipment. + Use tools to perform tasks on process equipment. + Troubleshoot production issues and perform or suggest corrective measures. + Use HMI controls to startup and shut down equipment, monitor processes, and respond to alarms. + Use computer to access work instructions, process orders, email, quality data, safety data sheets, and other relevant information. + Other tasks assigned by supervision. **If you...** + Have the ability to safely operate, maintain, perform minor repairs, and make proper adjustments on associated equipment in work areas. + Are able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. + Are able to use a process computer controller. + Can use computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Edge, and Excel + Are able to understand and respond to environmental and personnel hazards promptly. + Have the ability to read, write and perform accurate arithmetic calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. + Have the ability to learn names of equipment, process flow, and function of equipment. **Create your own chemistry with you@BASF** This position is part of theUnited Steel Workers Union and is covered under the collective bargaining agreement.
