What you'll do:

As a Family Office and Private Client Tax Assistant Manager based in Reading, you will play an integral role in delivering expert personal tax services to an impressive array of clients. Your day-to-day activities will involve managing complex portfolios that span various industries and jurisdictions. You will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive advice on inheritance tax planning, capital gains strategies, income tax compliance, international taxation issues, as well as guidance for trusts and partnerships. Deliver a consistently high-quality personal tax service to a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and families with complex needs. Manage a varied client base including stakeholders in privately owned businesses, senior executives of multinational firms, landed estates, private equity professionals, trusts, estates, and partnerships. Provide insightful personal tax advice across multiple areas such as inheritance tax planning, capital gains tax optimisation, income tax compliance, international taxation matters, and more. Identify opportunities to offer tailored advice by understanding each client’s unique circumstances and proactively suggesting relevant solutions. Apply original thinking to solve intricate tax problems by developing bespoke strategies for one-off assignments or ongoing advisory projects. Project manage multiple concurrent tax advisory assignments ensuring all deadlines are met while maintaining rigorous risk management and compliance standards. Oversee work in progress by managing billing processes efficiently and ensuring prompt cash collection from clients. Support the performance management and career development of partly qualified or newly qualified staff members through coaching and constructive feedback. Collaborate closely with colleagues across the national team to share knowledge and best practices for the benefit of clients and the wider group.
