JOB SUMMARY:

The Instructional Design team works within the People Development organizations and partners with the business to plan, develop, support, and evaluate training across the organization. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience with instructional design tools, learning management systems, and multimedia content development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the creation and maintenance of engaging learning content across various formats, including instructor-led training, e-learning modules, and virtual sessionsCollaborate with subject matter experts and team members to help design training materials, gather feedback, and iterate on course contentContribute to research on learning trends and best practicesSupport project coordination, and help evaluate training effectiveness through learner data analysisApply adult learning principles and accessibility standards to ensure high-quality, inclusive learning experiencesAdhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadlinesUse instructional design software and work with a wide variety of mediaCollaborate with the Instructional Designers and members of the People Development team to develop design concepts

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Pursuing a Bachelor's or master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, Communication, or a related field.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theoriesFamiliarity with eLearning tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar)Attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to manage time effectively and meet deadlinesAction orientated, able to manage multiple creative projects, all while being prepared for time sensitive requests with little warning

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.

Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
