Job Summary:
Title: Intern – Roc Nation Sports - Basketball (In-Person, Unpaid, For College Credit)
Location: New York, NY (On-Site)
The Role:
Roc Nation Sports is looking for a highly motivated, organized and enthusiastic individual, who is interested in learning more about the Basketball division. This internship will allow students to gain first-hand, experience in a variety of areas within the Basketball department to complete a variety of data analysis and research assignments.
Responsibilities:
Conduct data analysis for current players on Roc Nation’s roster
Assist team by conducting research and analysis on recruiting targets
Support team with NIL strategic analysis
Assistance with logistics including, pre-draft trading, organization with player camps, non-profit work, content opportunity for players
Cross-functionality
Identifying best practices from other sports
Figuring out creative ways to incorporate other sports’ approaches to various events (i.e. pre-draft) and how these can better serve Roc Nation sports teams
Competitive analysis
How other agencies market themselves and their players digitally and on social media
Analysis on different footwear types that various players are involved with
Qualifications:
Must be current student, enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s program at an accredited college or university
Must be eligible to receive academic credit from their college or university for the duration of the internship
Familiarity with professional and college sports teams and athletes
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Documents
Ability to multi-task and be a self starter
Understanding of social media content strategy and growth tactics
Proficient with Keynote / PowerPoint
This internship is available for the Fall semester. This is a non-paid internship, with flexible hours (minimum of 16 hours per week) to reflect your necessary college credit requirements.
