Job Summary:
Title: Intern - Latin Marketing (Distribution) (In-Person, Unpaid, For College Credit)
Location: New York, NY (On-Site)
The Role:
Roc Nation is looking for a strategic and organized Latin Marketing Intern for Roc Nation Distribution. This internship will allow students to gain first-hand experience in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: marketing strategies, projects for latin music artists and release schedules, online promotion, etc. Bilingual proficiency is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Areas that you will be learning about:
Gain Marketing experience in working with team members managing artist campaigns for Roc Nation Distribution Latin clients
Assist in day to day activities of the marketing department developing highly effective content across various digital platforms (social media, website, song case studies, playlists, etc.)
Create and maintain media lists, editorial calendars, media clip summaries, coverage grids and other databases
Provide on-site assistance at various events, activations, etc, as needed
Gain knowledge in building out email blasts to different departments
Work with our Latin Marketing team to develop skills needed for creating compelling and engaging marketing campaigns
Develop planning, organizational and time management skills through Storytelling, Marketing, and Analyzing Data
Qualifications:
Must be a current student, enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s program at an accredited college or university
Must be eligible to receive academic credit from their college or university for the duration of the internship
Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English is mandatory
Culturally aware: deep understanding of Latin music - specifically Urbano Latino, trends, and audience behaviors
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently
Interest in learning new (web) related technologies and software
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
Highly organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
Familiarity with social networking sites desired, but we will also train
Familiarity with Keynote/ PowerPoint, but we will also train
This internship is available for the Fall semester. This is a non-paid internship, with flexible hours (minimum of 16 hours per week) to reflect your necessary college credit requirements.
