Job Responsibilities:

Summary: The P2001 Line Leader will direct the work and parts flow at P2001 press and assist employees in the operation of the equipment
Job Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other
duties may be assigned and required.
1. Assist the employee in his/her work and in training operators on machine operations and quality inspections
2. Perform minor corrections to equipment. Contact the supervisor or proper support personnel to report machine or tooling problems
3. Responsible for the quality of parts produced and report any non-conforming parts to supervisor and quality department
4. Review and update logbook for operational problems
5. Fill out tool room work orders, maintenance work orders or quick kills
6. Perform daily audits of work area for 5S and safety guards and verifies safety equipment is working
7. Communicate issues to supervisor or department manager
8. Conduct pre-shift meetings to review scoreboard and open issues and concerns
9. Foster positive working relationships with all personnel of the division
10. Recommend proposals for improving products, processes, systems and work environment through the Continuous Improvement
process and encourage employees to participate in the process as well
11. Collect data and fill out scoreboard as necessary to achieve departmental objectives
12. Lead by example to other employees in attendance and good work performance and by displaying positive behaviors
13. Follow and support Magna Body & Chassis Iowa and Magna’s operating principles
14. Support efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Education and/or Experience:
 Must have high school diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
 Ability to obtain a fork truck license and to operate overhead crane
 Ability to work with minimal supervision
 Ability to set direction and make decisions
 Must have good organizational skills
 Must exhibit high integrity and honesty
 Ability to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions from various groups
 Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
