RANK/TITLE: Assistant Professor/Associate Professor (non-tenure stream)

The Department of Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking an academic neuropathologist at the Assistant Professor/Associate Professor (non-tenure stream) depending on qualifications to replace a neuropathologist. The successful candidate will be board certified in Anatomic Pathology with subspecialty board certification or eligibility in Neuropathology. The candidate must have a valid Pennsylvania medical license (or qualifications to obtain one at the time of appointment), and must be able to work in the United States. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate should possess strong diagnostic skills, be capable of participating in the service responsibilities of a busy and state-of-the-art neuropathology service, and have a strong commitment to an academic career, including resident and neuropathology fellow education and medical student teaching. Established diagnostic expertise, a record of scholarly publications, and experience in basic or translational neuro-oncology research are highly desirable. Assistant Professor (1-5 years of experience), Associate Professor (6-10 years of experience).
