Faculty.Professor.Assistant - Full-Time

The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is hiring for an Assistant Professor, tenure-stream position.

This will involve participation in the development of a clinical and translational neuroscience program centered on strategies for improving function in neuromodulation. This faculty will collaborate closely with the Director of Neurosurgical Spine and the Chief of Neurosurgery at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. The faculty will join a highly supportive environment with the objective of ultimately supporting this scientific mission with extramural funding. Assisting with the interdisciplinary developmentofcontinuing medical education forthemedicalstaff. Contributing tothe advancementof scientific knowledge in thespecialty ofenabling surgical technologiesthroughbasicand/orappliedresearchinvestigationeitherindependentlyorinconjunctionwithotherinvestigators. Participate and provide leadership in theteaching componentofhouse staff and fellowtrainingprogramsforNeurological Surgerypostgraduatetrainees.

The minimum education to be considered for this position is a PhD in Mathematics.
