Faculty Open Rank - (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor)- Feminist Political Theory, Political Science Department **FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT** The Hunter College Political Science Department invites applications for an open rank (full-time tenure track or tenured) position in feminist political theory, beginning Fall 2026, pending final college approval. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses on gender in the history of political thought, contemporary feminist political theory, and other courses in their areas of expertise. This position involves conducting research, contributing to departmental administration, participating in university programs, and potentially having the option to join the faculty at the CUNY Graduate Center. **QUALIFICATIONS** For appointment as assistant professor, applicants must have a PhD in hand by the position’s starting date. For appointment as an associate professor, a PhD, a substantial publication record, and teaching experience are required. For appointment as a full professor, evidence of an established professional reputation, a strong and sustained publication record, substantial teaching experience, and a PhD are required. **COMPENSATION** CUNY offers a competitive compensation and benefits package to its faculty, covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs. The salary range is $52,267 to $90,375 (Assistant Professor), $67,784 to $107,789 (Associate Professor) and $83,878 to $129,310 (Professor). CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases.
