Factory Project Engineer
**GRADE I** **Position Snapshot:** + Location Portogruaro Factory (VE) Nestlè Purina, Italy + Department: Factory Engineering + Permanent contract, full time job + Bachelor’s or master degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field). + At least 3 – 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment, preferably in Food/Pharma/FMCG industries as Project or Maintenance Engineer + Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written). **Position Summary:** In this role you will support and lead engineering projects within the factory, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards. You will also collaborate cross-functionally to implement technical solutions that improve manufacturing processes and support strategic initiatives. **A Day in the life of a Factory** **Project Engineer** + Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets. Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure successful delivery. + Collaborate with design, production, and maintenance teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with factory capabilities. + Collaborate also with central functions based in France. + Liaise with external international suppliers and contractors for equipment, services, and installations. Manage contracts, timelines, and quality of deliverables. + Ensure all projects comply with local regulations, environmental standards, and internal safety policies. Participate in risk assessments and safety audits. + Support technical training and help operators and maintenance teams during project handover and implementation in collaboration with OSL (Operational Start-up Leader) + Contribute to projects that support sustainability goals, such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, and circular economy practices in line with Nestlé MM0 targets (i.e. carbon neutral manufacturing operations by 2050) + Foster a positive and engaging work environment by encouraging collaboration, celebrating achievements, and promoting a culture where having fun at work is valued **What will make you successful** + Bachelor’s or master degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) + At least 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment, preferably in Food/Pharma/FMCG industries as Project or Maintenance Engineer + PMI certification is a plus + Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written) + Excellent project management skills + Clear and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels + Comfortable at working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment + Smart approach and good initiative will complete the profile
