We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation CAD **Position Overview:** Conducts daily inspections of equipment spaces, documents operational status and ensures proper operation of all plant equipment, medical gas systems, utility services and backup systems. Manages furniture inventory including coordinating requests for furniture reconfigurations and coordinating new employee needs. Prepares cubes/offices for new employees. Performs assigned normal and urgent repairs. Completes basic preventative maintenance. **Job Description** : **Facility Support** • Performs all work in alignment with departmental specific processes and procedures • Represents the department in a professional and pleasant manner • Maintains enrollment in approved training courses • Conducts daily inspections of equipment spaces, documents operational status and ensures proper operation of all plant equipment, medical gas systems, utility services and backup systems • At the close of each job, records work accomplished, including requestor, work requested, work performed, time taken, parts used and equipment name • Manages furniture inventory including coordinating requests for furniture reconfigurations and coordinating new employee needs. Prepares cubes/offices for new employees • Performs assigned service requests for assigned normal and urgent repairs. Able to complete basic preventative maintenance • Performs regular inspections of equipment, systems and facility assigned completes necessary documentation using record keeping systems as appropriate • Continuing education, keeps skill set current by participating is self-study programs, and training made available by recognized groups in the trade • Maintain accurate maintenance records and availability of records for inspections by regulatory agencies • Coordinates and obtains proposals/quotes from vendors, based on department(s) needs and negotiates for best value. Requests purchase orders (POs) and ensures and validates payments. Organizes, schedules and documents work activities in close coordination with vendors and internal management following up on progress and verifies completion. Maintains permits, safety logs, and compliance/regulatory logs • Assists with mechanical and building repairs • Receives calls for building maintenance issues and resolve with appropriate departments • Develops and maintains a working understanding of system protocol and functions in a support role during emergency situations under the direction of their immediate supervisor/manager • Maintains tools and equipment as necessary • Basic blueprint interpretation, interprets instructions and prepared specifications • Performs preventive maintenance duties to all physical structures and complies with all applicable safety guidelines • Performs urgent corrective, routine, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical plumbing systems as directed • Coordinates with all Sutter vendors, including but not limited to: vending, office supplies, plant rentals, ergo equipment, etc. **Project Management Support** • Helps define initial project scope, resources (money & people) needs and timeline, manages all aspects of assigned projects including scope, time and cost • Coordinates meetings and communications in relation to assigned projects • Responsible for maintaining and updating relevant documentation and processes • Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established time frames • Frequent monitoring of project plans, issues, risks, action items, and resource capacity for the project • Meets with utility vendors or other contractors to grant access to space for pricing walkthrough • Performs work all work in alignment with departmental specific processes and procedures **EDUCATION:** _Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._ HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:** DL-Valid Drivers License Class C or B **TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:** 2 years recent relevant experience **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:** Computer skills and building automation systems experience.
