Facility Team Manager
Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world. The Facility Team Manager is responsible for planning and conducting technical assessments and maintenance surveys at various sites. This role involves a thorough assessment of facility infrastructure, equipment, and overall operational readiness. This is a nationwide project, and we need someone who is willing to travel and take on assignments at various project sites across the country. This position is contingent upon the award of the contract Key Responsibilities: + Lead and oversee technical surveys of facilities across PMSP sites, ensuring thorough assessment of infrastructure, utilities, and operational requirements. + Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary survey teams , providing direction, assigning tasks, and ensuring accurate and timely data collection. + Analyze survey results and develop detailed Facility Survey Reports, including actionable recommendations for facility maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, and personnel training requirements. + Engage with stakeholders to present findings, validate survey data, and support design review discussions, ensuring alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements. + Oversee the documentation and tracking of facility conditions, identifying risks, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement to support long-term operational sustainability. + Facilitate knowledge transfer and provide guidance to survey team members, ensuring adherence to established standards, processes, and quality assurance measures. Qualifications to be successful in the role:  + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, LEED) is an advantage. + 8+ years of progressive experience in facility assessments, infrastructure surveys, and technical evaluations, including hands-on expertise in analyzing facility systems and recommending corrective actions. + Familiarity with maritime security infrastructure, including the unique requirements of port facilities, coastal surveillance sites, and related operational environments. + Comprehensive knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) facility standards, including design, sustainment planning, and compliance with reporting requirements such as CDRL A015. + Excellent project management and leadership skills, with the ability to oversee multiple concurrent surveys and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data and develop practical recommendations.
