About the role:
Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division is seeking a Facility Procurement Professional who will be responsible for numerous high-profile projects that help to position the facility for long-term success. As a Facility Procurement Professional you will help develop the end-to-end supply chain for long term success through strategic sourcing decisions and other high profile supply chain initiatives.

What you will do:

Support delivery of lean, responsive, and resilient material and services flow for the facility from source to dock and additional required points.Recognize the potential for cost and inventory reductions, and quality improvement, as well as responsibility for soundness of business proposals and risk assessment.Operate and monitor the supply network procurement functions to meet the defined response time, cost, quality, and lean targets enabling optimal and efficient facility operations.Collaborate with business partners and suppliers and resolve high-value facility specific projects.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent manufacturing experience is desired.

Skill Descriptors:

Process Management: Working knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.Data-driven Decision Making: Working knowledge of the data-driven decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to gather and analyze data to make organizational decisions that align with strategic business objectives and goals.Effective Communications: Working knowledge of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Working knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.Supplier Management – MFG: Working knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.Supply Chain Management: Working knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the whole processes.
 

Top Candidates Will Have:

SAP experience.Experience with supplier and/or contract negotiations.  Experience with corporate compliance auditing.

Summary Pay Range:

$87,480.00 - $131,280.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
