Responsibilities

PURPOSE:    Coordinates facility services for Valdosta, Georgia facility.  Areas of responsibility include coordinating facility event set-up, supervision of sanitation team, and general facility upkeep.  Responsible for various aspects of the facility equipment, structures and grounds to insure safe and efficient operation 24/7, while meeting or exceeding internal and external customer expectations.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Train, direct, schedule, and supervise Sanitation Workers and other staff as assigned.Continuously monitor the cleanliness of facility and equipment.Prepare and use various cleaning agents/solutions & power equipment according to specification.Move heavy equipment and furniture.Identify and report possible repairs neededRepair or servicing of minor infrastructure.Ensures assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for useReceives, manages, and processes work order requests as it relates to this position; ensures problems are resolved quickly.Acts as a liaison between employees and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems as it relates to this position.Drafts and implements preventive maintenance schedules for building and equipment as it relates to this position.Helps to ensure safety standards are followed throughout the facility.Participates on emergency preparedness planning team.Assists with application for required environmental permits as needed.Maintains inventory of supplies; reorders as needed.Participate in required training on selected safety topics as identified and assigned by the Production Manager. Lock out tag outHACCPGMPCommunicates with Management Team to resolve problems. Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.Supervise and facilitate outside vendors while working on the property or facility within the scope of this position.Compiles and analyzes required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies.Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulationsEstablishes or adjusts work schedule to meet production schedulesAnalyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.Performs activities of Sanitation Workers when needed.Adheres to and enforces safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.Actively participates in SQF audits and other regulatory inspections.Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards.Performs daily, weekly, monthly plant walkthroughs and identifies areas for improvement.Works with sanitation workers to evaluate and maintain accuracy and completion of all information in the master cleaning scheduleHelp monitor the facility and property for compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations, including resin handling systems. Monitor procedures for preventive maintenance on all job equipment vital to the position.Staff are informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory responsibilities;Staff are positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety issues; andStaff are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.Purchase required parts, equipment, and products for the Sanitation Department.Assist with all internal and external equipment moves and installations. Ability to organize and prioritize work activities and to handle multiple assignments and/or projects simultaneously.Must have basic knowledge of plumbing, painting, and other general repair skills.Possesses knowledge of mandated regulations such as FDA, ISO, SQF rules and regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, Food Defense Program, Allergen, Chemical Program, Standard Sanitary Operating Procedures, and bio hazards.Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.Ability to use chemicals and cleaning equipment.Ability to make practical decisions without appreciable direction or advance preparation.Must be able to prioritize multiple projects.Ability to utilize a variety of computer software (Microsoft products preferred).Must have sound judgement and discretional skills and work with little or no supervision.

  M - F 6:45am - 4pm with some early mornings, late nights, or weekends as needed for projects
