The role ensures compliance with local health, safety, and environmental regulations while maintaining high standards in areas such as security, cleaning, maintenance, and equipment lifecycle. By collaborating with stakeholders and driving continuous improvement, the manager aligns facility operations with business needs and fosters a culture of safety and service excellence.
Responsibilities:
Managing the facility operations, including related budget for the 2 Hungarian facilities
Coordinating the work of subcontractors related to business operations (e.g. on-site IT, cleaning, maintenance)
Directing and planning central services such as security, mail, catering, waste disposal, and recycling
Ensuring full compliance with Hungarian health, safety, and environmental regulations
Checking the completion and quality of contracted work; following up on deficiencies
Overseeing the procurement, installation, and lifecycle of office equipment
Organizing corporate car and mobile fleet service (including tendering and operational compliance)
Managing travel arrangements through third-party providers
Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent facility issues and managing consequences
Supervising the work of the facility coordinator
Tracking and reporting facility KPIs; ensuring SLA compliance across service providers
Evaluating vendor performance; initiating corrective actions as needed
Collecting user feedback and driving customer-focused service improvements
Collaborating with key stakeholders (site leaders, departments) to align facility services with business needs
Driving EHS process improvements and supporting a culture of safety awareness
HSE Coordination:
Serve as the first point of contact and HSE Coordinator; member of the HSE Committee
Manage environmental, health, and safety programs aligned with corporate and legal requirements
Conduct safety training, including New Hire Orientation
Lead monthly safety inspections and emergency drills
Coordinate incident investigations (e.g. root cause analysis, preventive/corrective actions)
Monitor and analyze HSE indicators; develop and track action plans
Act as a technical resource in environmental and safety matters
Review and implement local procedures in line with corporate HSE standards
Qualifications:
BSc or MSc degree in a technical or economics-related field
Fluency in both Hungarian and English (written and spoken)
Solid understanding of facility management and procurement, including budgeting and vendor coordination
Familiarity with Hungarian health & safety regulations
Experience working in a multinational or matrix environment is preferred
Previous experience in managing external contractors and suppliers
