As the Facility Manager, you will oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of our facilities. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of facility operations, ensuring a productive, safe, and compliant work environment that supports our business objectives and employee needs. The scope of responsibility for this role will extend across Wabtec facilities in Melbourne, FL and Cedar Rapids, IA.
Interior Maintenance & Repairs
+ Manage and coordinate maintenance of lighting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other interior systems
+ Handle minor repairs, furniture fixes, and equipment servicing
+ Oversee and facilitate the facilities work order system
Office Operations & Space Management
+ Maintain workspace layout, coordinate internal office moves, and support seating assignments
+ Manage furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E)
+ Support workplace amenities like breakrooms, kitchens, and supply areas
+ Mailroom and parcel deliveries
+ Manage projects related to facilities, specifically focusing on space improvements
+ Support and create Coupa orders and manage transactions
Vendor & Service Coordination
+ Source, schedule, and oversee third-party vendors (shredding, _UPS_ , etc.)
+ Ensure vendors meet service level expectations and safety requirements
+ Utilize procurement software to generate purchase orders for expenses, specifically in relation to vendors and landlords
Health, Safety & Compliance
+ Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
+ Maintain first aid kits, coordinate fire drills, hurricane evacuation, life safety devices, and manage emergency preparedness
+ Oversee employee access and security systems (badges, key fobs, etc.)
+ Oversee and facilitate the removal of electronic waste and hazardous materials
Technology & Building Interface
+ Coordinate installation and maintenance of IT-related infrastructure (cabling, Wi-Fi, etc.)
+ Liaise with building management for HVAC timing, after-hours access, and base building coordination
Budget & Reporting
+ Track facility expenses and manage operating budgets for repairs, supplies, and services
+ Report on service issues, project status, and facility KPIs to internal leadership
Minimum requirements:
+ A bachelor's degree in business administration, facilities management (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of facility management experience)
+ Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 30% of the time
+ Strong understanding and knowledge of project management, financial management, space planning, building operations and sustainability
+ Strong communication and written skills
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between
$77,400.00-$110,300.00
The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com .
