What you will be doing
Supervises daily maintenance and/or sanitation activities using the most efficient and economical ways of maintaining the equipment, minimizing down time and keeping warehouse operations running efficiently.
Main responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance:
Supervises and trains maintenance associates and ensures that preventative maintenance procedures are in effect and are being performed on a timely basis. Creates, monitors, generates and closes planned maintenance and job tasks using the computerized maintenance program. Facilitates inspections, as necessary. Verifies work orders to ensure that they are properly prepared and verify correct inventory procedures were followed. Orders parts, supplies, or tools to accomplish all jobs.Sanitation:
Ensures that Company, Federal, State and Local guidelines and regulations regarding sanitation and pest control are met on a daily basis. Implements and maintains control programs to ensure that the facility is free of insects and rodents. Supervises and trains sanitation associates. Facilitates inspections, as necessary. Orders parts, supplies, or tools to accomplish all jobs. Monitors and maintains department accounts to ensure quarterly budgets are adhered to. Coordinates with contracted landscape company for maintenance of grounds. Administers recycling program. Recommends new and replacement equipment to support department goals.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
Education Level:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.Skills and Experiences:
Working knowledge of the computerized maintenance program to document and schedule all maintenance tasks and inventories. Possess good leadership skills and the ability to supervise the work of others. Must be able to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results. Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written. Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over the telephone. Basic computer skills required and personal computer experience, with word processing and spreadsheet applications preferred. Requires strong analytical skills to manage administrative tasks and maintain mental alertness for accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work. Must be able to concentrate and effectively handle frequent interruptions.
