Responsibilities Investigate, develop, and implement activities to reduce machine downtime and optimize process efficiency.Implement process improvements and PM’s to maximize production. Work with Maintenance personnel to assist in troubleshooting.Troubleshoot electrical and PLC problems.Determine possible machine upgrades to further improve production. Support new projects and make recommendations regarding new technology to improve product quality and productivity. Interface with outside machine and automation vendors for the purpose of defining, designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and redefining processes.Communicate with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance Departments at the local and corporate level.Develop electrical and mechanical documentation, design modifications, and programs for equipment.Develop, review, and implement work instructions as needed.Develop training materials and assist with training of the maintenance staff.Ensure that safety standers are met.Attend department and plant meeting and training. QUALIFICATIONS:

Thorough understanding of facility systems such as material handling, compressors air and chillers water.Strong mechanical/electrical background with excellent troubleshooting skills.Experience with PLC systems.Basic knowledge of computer programming.Must have experience with electrical, mechanical (required), pneumatic, plumbing and HVAC (optional).Experience in plastics processing.Must have the ability to be on-call for any shift as necessary (hours added as worked).Must have knowledge of LOTO and Arc Flash.Ability to read and interpret machine prints.Must have good computer skills.Must have familiarity with most hand and power tools.Self-motivated and work with minimal supervision.High school diploma/GED equivalent.The ability to work with others.Honest, dependable, and motivated.Good problem solving and analytical skills.Have a valid Driver’s license.Must provide own hand tools.Forklift certified.Lift certified.Crane certified.Electrical certified.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.Ability to work around grease, oils, and solvents without adverse reactions.Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and squat throughout entire shift.Ability to work from heights, including ascending/descending ladders.Ability to wear all provided personal protective equipment.Ability to work in high noise environment.
