The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and safety of all physical facilities of our growing manufacturing company. This role ensures that the buildings, grounds, and equipment are maintained in a safe, functional, and welcoming condition, while also promoting sustainability and operational efficiency. The Facilities Coordinator will work closely with management, staff, and contractors to ensure the environment supports the mission and overall well-being of our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facility Management:
Manage and maintain building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems.Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all facilities and building equipment.Ensure compliance with safety codes, building regulations, and environmental laws.Develop and manage facility-related budgets, including capital improvement projects.2. Maintenance and Repairs:
Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the longevity of facilities and equipment.Troubleshoot and resolve facility-related issues in a timely manner.3. Health and Safety:
Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment for staff and visitors.Regularly inspect facilities for safety hazards, making improvements as necessary.4. Hurricane Preparedness:
Develop and implement hurricane preparedness and response plans to ensure the safety of facilities during storm season.Work with local authorities and external vendors to ensure the is equipped with necessary supplies.6. Vendor and Contract Management:
Negotiate and manage contracts for facility-related servicesExplore opportunities for cost-effective improvementsWork Experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in facilities management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).5+ years of experience in facilities operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.Knowledge of building systems, plumbing, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.Strong organizational and project management skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.Experience in a manufacturing, industrial or other related work environmentWork Environment:
Full-time, on-site position.Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support special events or emergency situations.Ability to lift and move equipment and materials as needed.Benefits:
