**Job Description**
Our new facility in Norderstedt is currently being built on around 6,000 square meters, underlining our growth and our commitment to sustainability. By using solar panels, a planted roof and an energy-efficient heating and cooling system, we want to work in a climate-neutral way at Nordport, right next to Hamburg Airport.
YOUR MISSION
The Facility and Security Manager of the facility will oversee the operational management of defense facilities and ensure their security. This multifaceted role requires expertise in both facility management and security protocols to protect sensitive assets and personnel.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Facility Management:
• Manage the maintenance, repair, and operation of infrastructure, ensuring that all systems remain in optimal condition.
• Plan and coordinate with contractors for maintenance services and facility upgrades/enhancement.
• Implement facility management policies that adhere to aeronautical and governmental standards and ensure operational efficiency.
• Conduct routine inspections to verify compliance with national health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee budgetary planning relating to facility operations, maintenance, and resource allocation.
• Ensure readiness and functioning of infrastructure resources, including crisis response facilities.
Security Management:
• Develop and enforce security protocols and procedures to safeguard facilities and sensitive information.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and escalate protective measures.
• Manage and train internal staff in accordance with security standards and emergency response protocols.
• Coordinate with local authorities and law enforcement agencies regarding security operations and coordinate with corporate security department and local security contractor.
• Implement advanced security technologies, including surveillance systems and access controls.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and manage recovery and reporting processes.

**Job Requirements**
YOUR SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Security Management, Military Science, or a related field
• Extensive experience in facility management and security operations within the sector
• Leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in German; proficiency in English may be required for coordination with international agencies
• Comprehensive understanding of defense regulations, security protocols, and facility management criteria
• Ability to manage budgets and engage in strategic planning
