Introduction to BlueOval SK-TN

At BlueOval SK-TN, we will lead the transformation of the electric vehicle (EV) battery business through partnership (Joint Venture formed by Ford and SK On) to provide products and processes to increase our customers’ experience. As the future of BlueOval SK, you will help lead the battery revolution by working alongside our teams as we build the batteries required for electric vehicle business excellence.

 You'll have…

Education: High School diploma, some post-secondary (college or skilled trades)8+ years of Maintenance, operations, and technical experience5+ years of operations experience in a leadership roleTechnical work experience and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to interface with plant hourly, salary, and leadership. Must be able to travel domestically (no more than 10%)

  Even Better, You'll Have…

Bachelor’s degreeExperience working in a high-voltage, or high-pressure water environment Manufacturing experience, including automotive (assembly a plus)Six Sigma BlackbeltBackground in Lean Manufacturing Experience with Greenfield / Startup Sites

This individual will have experience managing high degrees of complexity in processes and communication with all levels of leadership. They will rely on their project management skills and strong business acumen to help deliver business requirements.

A collaborative leadership style is necessary to influence and build meaningful relationships with all cross-functional teams.

Additional Information 

Limited travel is expected throughout 2026 along with future relocation to Tennessee 

The successful candidate will be a Ford Secondee to the joint venture.  A secondee is an employee who is temporarily transferred to the joint venture, although they continue their employment with Ford.

The Maintenance Team Manager position (LL6) at BlueOval SK Battery Park in Stanton, Tennessee, will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up. 

The BlueOval SK Maintenance Team Manager will lead the maintenance team within the Battery site in Stanton, TN, in line with the facility's Production System. This role will be responsible for leading a team of hourly and salaried employees at the facility, including, but not limited to: 

Ensure site grounds and parking lot maintenance, including landscaping and snow removalSupport preventative maintenance programs for facilitiesComply with master licensing and site permit requirements Implement and maintain the  Visual Factory across all site plant engineering equipmentCoordinate safe bulk unloadsEnsure compliance with environmental requirements, including waste management, recycling, and wastewater treatmentComply with combustion safety, arc flash training, and reporting requirementsManage mechanical/civil engineering projects
