Facilities Technician I - Ephrata Community Hospital - Days
**Schedule** Full Time: 80 Hours/Biweekly Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm **General Summary** Performs a variety of general, routine maintenance, renovations, and servicing operations throughout an assigned area. May also perform a variety of transportation assignments, groundskeeping duties and/or other tasks as assigned. **Duties and Responsibilities** **Essential Functions:** + Assists Craftsmen with the maintenance, repair, renovation and installation of systems and equipment which provide power, heating, lighting, air conditioning and other services for the hospital. + Performs minor repairs in the field of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and carpentry. + Performs minor maintenance repairs, including wall repair and painting. **Common Expectations:** + Fosters teamwork and works as one. + Exhibits positive character and a strong work ethic. + Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards. + Keeps work areas clean, safe, and orderly. Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies. + Provides outstanding service to all patients and visitors. + Applies a fiscal responsibility when making decisions. + Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings. + Records, documents and maintains the proper paperwork. + Has a basic understanding for computer technology and can display a proficient use of various software programs. + Should display a working knowledge of building, fire, and safety codes. + Must be able to perform overtime, work weekends and other shifts when needed. + Must be able to perform on-call duties if assigned. + Must display good communication skills, problem solving abilities and be a critical thinker. **Qualifications** **Minimum Education:** + High School Diploma or GED Required **Work Experience:** + Less than 1 year Relevant experience. Required **Driver's License Statement:** Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence.
