Job Description: Job Title: Facilities Technician I Location: Lomar Distribution Center FLSA: Non-Exempt General Function: The Facilities Technician I plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of facility and battery systems. With a primary focus on facility and battery maintenance and repair, the technician will also provide assistance with Pick Tower Maintenance as needed. The position demands a strong mechanical aptitude, electrical skills, and a commitment to safety protocols. Working Relationships: Accountable and Reports to (Job Title): President, Lomar Distribution Center Warehouse Manager, Lomar Distribution Center Manager of Compliance and Food Protection, Lomar Distribution Center Maintenance Lead, Lomar Distribution Center Positions that Report to you (Job Title): None Primary Responsibilities and Duties: + Conduct routine maintenance and repair of facility equipment to ensure optimal performance. + Service and repair industrial batteries, adhering to safety guidelines. + Perform preventative maintenance on various facility systems and equipment. + Ability to service and repair industrial batteries. + Use Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) for tracking and managing maintenance activities. + Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical systems, with a focus on AC motors, conveyors, and VFD drives. + Demonstrated knowledge of basic Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) practices, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a secure work environment for all employees. + Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team + Be available for callouts during off-hours. + Reports to work when scheduled and on time. + Adheres to company policies and departmental guidelines. + Attends departmental and company meetings. Secondary Responsibilities: + Assist with Pick Tower Maintenance as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of operations. + Other duties as assigned by management. Education/Experience Required to Perform Job: High school education or equivalent preferred. Trade/vocational school or 2+ years in related area preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: + Experience with RTA or Sprocket CMMS platforms is a plus. + Experience with Dematic conveyors and/or pick-to-light systems + Knowledge of PLCs is a plus; understand how to use a multi-meter for diagnostics. + Proven safety knowledge of repair and machine liability. + Familiarity with 3-phase motors and VFD drives. + Comfortable working with 480V and below. + Experience in preventative maintenance practices. Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the physical requirements exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly. Equipment used to Perform Job: Must provide own hand tools. Standard shop or repair tools including hammer drill, grinders, welder, drills, skill saw, and chop saw. Frequently operates powered industrial equipment. Working Conditions: The duties of this position are performed in a combination of warehouse and outdoor settings. There is exposure to dirt, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemical or solvents, and electrical shock.
