About The Role Summary Under general supervision of the Facilities Manager and in conformance with established policies and procedures, the Facilities Tech is responsible for maintenance repairs of bank properties and equipment, and related functions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide prompt and courteous service to all internal and external customers, supporting the goals and mission of the bank. Change security sign for employees to enter by 7am as long as it is safe to do so. Report all problems to the Manager or President or Security Officer. Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure its proper operation and report problems to the Manager. Stay up to date with the maintenance computer programs including HVAC Metasys, Lighting programs, and fire suppression system. Perform maintenance duties including, but not limited to; plumbing, painting, carpentry and electrical work Clean sidewalks, parking lots and grounds all year in all types of weather conditions including snow removal on Main Bank properties using a plow, a shovel, or a snow blower. Mow and trim grass, maintain the irrigation system and complete other duties related to landscaping and lawn work. Become familiar with and periodically review the bank’s robbery recovery procedures. Occasionally design and build structural bank equipment (ie. carts, bulletin boards etc.). Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Manager. Move and arrange desks, furniture and partitions as needed. Order janitorial, kitchen and maintenance supplies. Assist Branch Locations as time allows. Regular and predictable attendance to accomplish job duties and provide in-person contact with customers. Employees are required to actively use the service pledge in all customer encounters. Two or more years of maintenance experience; preferably in a large commercial building environment. Driver’s License is required: The person in this position is required to operate a motor vehicle. You must, as a condition of continued employment, maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to our insurer. Any changes in your driving record or status must be reported immediately. Failure to maintain an acceptable record or failure to report a change of status may result in disciplinary action, including possible dismissal. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY: Knowledge of and experience in all areas of maintenance, plumbing, painting, carpentry and electrical work. Demonstrated computer skills to troubleshoot maintenance issues, for communication and record keeping. Including Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have math skills to include; the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral, written, diagrammatic or schedule form. Ability to manage time and meet deadlines. Ability to exercise sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information. Must exhibit professional and friendly attitude and must possess good communication and interpersonal skills. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work both indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level, outside in sometimes inclement weather, or potentially difficult/hazardous conditions. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Constant lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs. required to hear, talk, write, keyboard/computer entry, reach, stretch, work under time constraints with attention to details. Constant abilities used and required on the job are mathematics, memory, reasoning, estimating, problem-solving and exercising judgment. Frequent lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
