This position will represent Mays at CityCentre while interacting with stakeholders both across Mays and outside of the program. This position offers the opportunity to oversee budgeting, catering coordination, event planning, audio/visual and IT systems, and building management, including after-hours emergency response. You’ll be part of the driving force behind a full-service facility program designed to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for students, employees, and visitors. Opportunities to Contribute Graduate Program and AV/IT Support + This position serves as a key liaison between graduate program staff and external service providers, including catering, IT, and other operational resources. + In this role, you will work closely with Mays IT to manage system updates and coordinate audiovisual maintenance, ensuring smooth functionality during regular business hours. Facility Maintenance Administration + This role plays a vital part in maintaining the operational integrity of CityCentre facilities by advising and coordinating both routine and periodic maintenance for technology and equipment. + This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and servicing mechanical systems, as well as inspecting, testing, installing, and adjusting a wide range of devices, control instruments, and electrical components. + The Facilities Specialist oversees basic building and infrastructure repairs, serves as the secondary point of contact for all facility operations under the Facility Manager, and is responsible for allocating resources, scheduling tasks, and supervising employees and work crews to ensure efficient and timely execution of projects. Budget and Logistics Management + This role manages the inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring resources are tracked and replenished as needed. In this role, you will initiate purchase orders for necessary parts and materials, as well as coordinate catering and vendor invoicing in alignment with graduate program budgets. + Additionally, this position serves as a secondary point of contact for processing purchases and event-related invoices, supporting smooth financial operations across multiple service areas. Scheduling and Record Management + This position ensures consistent operational coverage by overseeing and supplementing staffing schedules across both weekdays and weekends. In this role, you will manage communication with internal teams and external service providers to maintain smooth coordination and support. + This position involves tracking inventory, invoices, and purchases to support the efficient functioning of CityCentre operations, contributing to a well-organized and responsive facility environment. Security and Emergency Management + The Facilities Specialist is the primary contact for after-hours building emergencies. In this role, you must be able to promptly respond in person, on site, to after-hours building emergencies. What You Need to Know Salary: $18.00-$24.00 per hour; commensurate to selected hire’s experience.
