Position Information
We are seeking a Facilities Specialist I, under direct supervision, assists in the management of facilities and related services and programs. The position specializes in various aspects within the full spectrum from preventative maintenance to construction as well as services related to facility use (i.e.: audio/visual systems, building proctor, and after-hours emergency response). The position supports all aspects of a full-service facility management program to ensure a safe, healthy and comfortable work environment for employees and visitors.
Responsibilities:
+ Allocates resources, schedules, and may lead projects and work crews.
+ Manages inventory of supplies and equipment.
+ Coordinates or performs basic repairs to buildings and infrastructure.
+ Completes groundskeeping tasks and maintains Center campus/fields
+ Specializes in various aspects of a full-service facility management program (i.e.: audio/visual systems, online reservation processes, event coordination, mechanical systems, etc.).
+ Diagnoses, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment.
+ Inspects, tests, installs, adjusts, and maintains devices, control instruments, mechanical and electrical equipment, and related parts.
+ Performs basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance.
+ Monitors work facility and grounds work by 3rd party vendors.
+ Perform light housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, dusting and vacuuming, as required.
+ Assists with Center safety activities.
+ Maintains Center vehicle fleet.
+ Follow and adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOP).
+ Seeks education and training to maintain and improve quality skills.
+ Coordinates and moves furniture, furnishings, and equipment.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
+ Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field.
+ Two years of related experience.
+ Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications, audio/visual systems.
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Other Requirements:
+ Must be able to promptly respond in person, on site, to after-hours building emergencies.
What You Need to Know
Salary: Compensation for this position is commensurate based on the selected candidate’s qualifications. This is an hourly paid position.
