As the Facilities Manager for our Fort Mill site, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the workplace runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. The Facilities Manager oversees day-to-day operations of the facility, including shipping and receiving, chemical compliance, safety programs, building systems, and capital projects. Serving as the primary point of contact for site operations, this role partners with internal teams, contractors, and tenants to maintain a safe, productive, and welcoming environment. This is a hands-on position with broad impact, combining operational oversight, compliance management, and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Lead shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of materials.

Coordinate international and domestic shipments, driving efficiency and cost savings in logistics and materials handling.

Oversee chemical storage, hazardous waste disposal, and compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, IATA, and company EHS standards.

Partner with R&D to maintain accurate Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure safe handling of regulated materials.

Champion site safety by modeling best practices, maintaining certifications, and supporting training, audits, and emergency readiness.

Manage building systems, security, and maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and productive workplace.

Direct capital projects aimed at improving facility operations and infrastructure.

Build strong relationships with contractors, vendors, and tenants to support smooth daily operations.

Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement at the site.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in facilities, operations, or a related field.

Proven experience managing facility operations, shipping/receiving, or laboratory environments.

Strong knowledge of safety, compliance, and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, IATA).

Hands-on experience with building systems, maintenance, and contractor/vendor management.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

Certification in hazardous materials shipping (DOT/IATA) preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Minimal travel required.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $91,800.00 and $153,100.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
