What this job involves:

The Facility Manager role is designed to ensure proper operation of all facility aspects across two manufacturing/warehouse locations. In this position, you will establish and maintain a comprehensive facility management program overseeing building operations, systems, and equipment. This balanced role combines 50% hands-on maintenance work with 50% management responsibilities, requiring both technical expertise and leadership skills. You'll lead an on-site team while personally handling maintenance tasks and administrative duties. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic mix of practical building maintenance and strategic facility management.

What your day-to-day will look like:Manage facility operations for two manufacturing/warehouse locationsLead and develop a team of on-site personnel, evaluating their performanceImplement safety initiatives to improve awareness and positively change behaviorsDevelop and track energy conservation and operational efficiency initiativesCollect and respond to client feedback through formal and informal channelsOversee life cycle asset maintenance and vendor preventive maintenance schedulesComplete compliance training and ensure timely execution of critical PMsEnsure adherence to safety, environmental standards, and regulatory requirementsConduct relationship meetings with key stakeholders and clientsRequired Qualifications:Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilityExcellent verbal/written communication and presentation capabilitiesProven record of providing outstanding internal and external customer serviceKnowledge of standard business and accounting practicesProficiency with Excel and data analysis skillsExperience with work order management systemsUnderstanding of facility compliance requirements and regulationsAbility to perform hands-on maintenance and repair tasksPreferred Qualifications:Strong background in electrical systems and/or HVAC operationsPrevious experience managing manufacturing or warehouse facilitiesExperience implementing and documenting energy conservation initiativesBackground in life cycle asset managementTeam leadership experience in a facilities environmentKnowledge of safety protocols specific to industrial settingsExperience managing vendor relationships and contracts
