Facilities Manager
Job Title: Facilities ManagerJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager with a strong background in vacuum technology and semiconductor equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will oversee general facility operations, coordinate service vendors, and ensure the safe handling of toxic and potentially hazardous materials in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities + Troubleshoot and repair semiconductor and related equipment, including Etchers, PECVD tools, evaporators, sputter systems, dielectric deposition systems, polishers, and grinders. + Handle compressed gases and chemicals safely. + Maintain and repair vacuum pumps, including oil pumps, dry pumps, turbos, cryo pumps, and cryo compressors. + Perform helium leak testing and understand abatement systems. + Work with vacuum and pressure systems in an ISO 4 Cleanroom environment. + Coordinate service vendors for equipment repair and maintenance, consumable gases, HVAC, etc. + Oversee general facility operations and the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of wafer fabrication equipment. + Troubleshoot and problem-solve complex processing and support equipment. + Change process gas bottles and handle process gases safely. + Work safely around acids, solvents, toxic, and potentially hazardous gases. Essential Skills + Extensive experience with vacuum pumps (oil pumps, dry pumps, turbos, cryo pumps, and cryo compressors) and helium leak testing. + Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair semiconductor equipment, including Etchers, PECVD tools, evaporators, sputter systems, dielectric deposition systems, polishers, and grinders. + Knowledge of compressed gases and chemical handling. + Experience in overseeing general facility operations and coordinating service vendors for equipment repair and maintenance. + Minimum 7-10 years of experience in vacuum technology and semiconductor equipment maintenance. + Strong aptitude in understanding electronics schematics, mechanical, and vacuum and pressure assembly. + Ability to work safely around toxic and potentially hazardous materials, gases, and chemicals. + Sufficient mobility to work within confined spaces and have both visual and hearing acuity. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Respirator and Process Gas Training (nice to have). + Familiarity with MBE systems and UHV equipment (a plus). + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. + Experience with building build-outs, clean room builds, general facility maintenance, back-up generator installation, and general construction requirements, plans, and permits. + Excellent communication skills. + Strong problem-solving abilities. + Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. + Experience with evaporators, sputter systems, dielectric deposition systems, polishers, grinders, and post-process tools. + Knowledge of helium leak testing. + Familiarity with ISO 4 Cleanroom standards. Work Environment The work environment involves working in an ISO 4 Cleanroom with vacuum and pressure systems. The role requires handling potentially hazardous materials safely and interacting with engineering staff and equipment vendors. The Facilities Manager will coordinate service vendors and oversee facility operations. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications is essential. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
