Facilities Management Supervisor - Tru by Hilton Tam Ky City Centre

Position Purpose

\n

The Facility Management Supervisor will manage the maintenance, repair of the hotel buildings, grounds and contents in a cost-effective manner, and ensure the efficient and safe operation of all plant and equipment. The role will be responsible for all security, fire prevention and safety issues, establishing and maintaining good working relationships with the relevant governmental organizations.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

\n

Facility Management & Maintenance

\n\nOversee facility management operations, ensuring smooth workflows, maintaining productivity, and reducing costs.\nDevelop and implement a preventive maintenance plan for all hotel systems (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, elevators, chillers, pumps, and control systems), ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.\nSupervise maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring the hotel building, equipment, and surroundings remain in excellent condition.\nIdentify, coordinate, and ensure timely completion of essential maintenance work.\nMaintain records of maintenance, inspections, and testing to ensure compliance with regulations.\n\n

Staffing & Vendor Management

\n\nMonitor and adjust staffing levels, balancing under- and over-staffing to maximize efficiency while managing overtime and outsourcing as needed.\nSupervise and coordinate external contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.\nNegotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure cost-effective, high-quality services.\n\n

Health, Safety & Compliance

\n\nEnsure the hotel complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including fire safety and energy management policies.\nOrganize and conduct safety training sessions and emergency drills for staff.\nMaintain strong relationships with local authorities (e.g., Fire Department, Health Inspectors) to ensure legal compliance and readiness for audits.\n\n

Inventory & Cost Control

\n\nOversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock of essential supplies while optimizing costs.\nAlign facility management expenses with the hotel’s budget and cost-saving initiatives.\nAssess long-term maintenance and equipment replacement needs, incorporating new technologies for greater efficiency.\n\n

Security & Emergency Response

\n\nLead security operations, ensuring the safety of guests, team members, and hotel assets.\nImplement and oversee security regulations, fire prevention measures, and emergency response procedures.\nConduct routine security inspections and respond to incidents such as fires or other emergencies.\n\n

General Operations & Team Collaboration

\n\nConduct regular facility inspections, identify improvement areas, and ensure all operations run smoothly.\nFoster teamwork and collaboration across departments to maintain a safe, productive, and guest-friendly environment.\nAdhere to Hilton’s policies and procedures, ensuring all team members follow established guidelines.\nPerform any additional tasks assigned to support hotel operations.\n

Requirements

\n\nDegree required with 5+ years in hotel/building services or a related engineering field, including 2-3 years in an Engineering Supervisor/Team Lead role at a 4-star hotel.\n1-2 years of hotel security management experience is a plus.\nSpecialized knowledge in water treatment, HVAC, hydraulics, mechanics, fire safety, electrical systems, plumbing, and more.\nAbility to maintain all hotel systems, including air-conditioning, refrigeration, elevators, boilers, kitchen equipment, etc.\nFamiliar with government regulations and energy conservation practices.\nExperience in training facility staff in engineering and security.\nAble to read, write and converse in English to meet business needs.\n\n

Qualifications

\n

A degree in engineering, electrical, or a related field is preferred.
