Job Summary:The Facilities Management Technician I is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair work on buildings, equipment, and grounds. Technician I’s must be focused on client and employee’s need for the greatest client experience and most effective result. Key Responsibilities:Functions in accordance with Operational Guidelines and within a professional code of ethicsParticipates in and contributes to the various staff developmental activities of the systemIs sensitive and responsible to management needs, such as data collection, program evaluation, development of grant applications, maintenance of various contracts for service, etc.Participates in all required meetingsRegularly participates in evaluations of self-according to Operational GuidelinesPerform all work in a safe manner using any and all required safety equipment and by following all safety proceduresCompletes all work orders in a timely manner and maintains work order system as requiredRemains alert for any safety hazards at any properties and report them to Facilities leadership for immediate corrective actionSubmit all credit card and fuel charges for accounting in a timely mannerConduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairsAwareness of all applicable codes and regulations related to facility maintenanceAvailable to be on-call, work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as neededOther duties as assigned by Facilities Leadership teamEducation, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferredTwo (2) years responsible employment history with an emphasis on previous maintenance experienceAdditional Qualifications:Ability to perform effectively in the face of changing job demandsAbility to take necessary and appropriate action on one’s ownDetermined to be reliable, motivated, creative, with good customer service skillsAbility to work independently or within a large groupKnowledge of policies, procedures, equipment, materials and supplies related to maintenance and repair of facilities and infrastructure, landscape areas, and vehiclesKnowledge of safety practices and principles related to maintenance activities including any applicable laws or regulationsCapable of effectively communication and interaction with coworkers, managers, subordinates and the general public sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work directionSuccessful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint checkCurrent driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insuranceCompletion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employmentAll training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafterPhysical Requirements:ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human bodyRepetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shiftSedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time
