What this job involves - The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the facilities upkeep of the site. This position is part of the IFM team responsible for delivering Facility Management services. Perform general inspection of exterior Site and repairs of the areas, correcting and repairing appearance of the whole site. Additionally, this position will provide facilities support including building inspections, work order creation, vendor engagement, and field walks.
What is the day to day?
Perform routine repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of the exterior physical structure of the buildings, bollards, furniture, fencing, doors and sport courts or fields across the campusGeneral exterior maintenance – minor masonry work, minor repairs of patio furniture, exterior adjusting/tightening/replacing light fixtures, replacing lightbulbs, patch, and paint (railings, exterior walls, tables, and chairs, etc.)Prepare, prime, and paint building exterior surfaces and perform general handyman tasks to maintain buildingsSupport landscaping by performing walks around the campus, identifying dead plants, removing weeds and trash in main exterior walkways when applicablePerform exterior Facility walks of the site including Parking Lots and Roads/Grounds to identify, and perform repair if applicableRemove debris off walkways and in landscapePerform grounds maintenance on the parking lot, exterior building, and surrounding ground areas to provide a clean environmentPerform assigned facility and site inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operationsPerform audits of exterior signage across the site and repair as applicable or generate work orders for signage replacements when required.Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materialsParticipate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programsCompletes special tasks that include but are not limited to general maintenance as assignedEscorting Vendors when requiredAssist in Event Support and with last minute conference room and area setups when neededMaintains a clean and safe work environmentComplete Hazard Assessments as necessaryDocuments work performance and materials procurement as directedGenerate work orders if additional repair is requiredAll other duties assignedRequired Qualifications
2+ years of construction or building engineering related experienceExperience in working a regulated work environmentGood communication, client service, and follow up skillsProven ability to work without direct day to day supervisionGood customer service, team player who builds and maintains relationshipsPossess safety and mechanical aptitudeBasic computer skills requiredAbility to diagnosis problems, make sound decisions, prioritize, schedule and complete multiple tasks

Work Environment
Be able to walk and work in an outdoor environmentExperienced with various types of hand tools and use of diagnostic equipmentPhysically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, and carry toolsMust have ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.Must have the ability to safely perform overhead work while standing on ladders up to 28 ftMust have the ability to regularly walk, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, lift, push, pull, etc. in order to test and perform maintenance

Estimated total compensation for this position:
