Facilities Maintenance Technician

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of critical utilities and Facilities equipment, troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance. The Facilities Technician must be able to perform basic construction, plumbing, and electrical work on plant facilities using hand and power tools and troubleshoot production or facilities equipment and report to the site Facilities Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Primary responsibilities are to:

Execute preventative & corrective maintenance work orders for critical utilities and facilities production equipment, building, and grounds.

Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and operating difficulties and make necessary repairs or adjustments.

Provides on-call emergency technical support as required.

Perform daily rounds and monitor alarms on the Building Management System.

Maintain records in accordance with SOPs and Protocols.

Coordinate procurement of maintenance equipment, service repair parts, and supplies as required.

Solicit professional services as required to maintain equipment, building, and grounds.

Make facilities and equipment and repair / replacement recommendations to management.

Complete all assigned tasks following cGMPs, OSHA and other Federal and State regulations. Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by management.

Desired Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma: 4+ years in facilities maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Strong HVAC and electrical background is required. Preferred but not recommended.

2-year degree or completion of apprenticeship in related field. 3+ years in facilities and / or industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Hold’s a Massachusetts Wastewater 2I License or obtains one within year of employment.

Experience in Medical Device and or Pharmaceutical is preferred.

Must be available for overtime in emergency situations and work flexible hours to provide coverage.
