Join us and build _your_ ambition. **ABOUT THE ROLE** The Facilities and Maintenance Engineer-in-Training is assigned to managing plant facilities equipment. They will be identifying, developing and implementing engineering and system projects to improve plant facilities condition, operability, equipment reliability, cost optimization, and compliance with environmental, regulatory & safety targets. In carrying out the duties of this position, a primary objective is to improve the safety and value of all company assets through increased reliability and lower operating costs while meeting plant operations requirements within budget guidelines. **WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH** + Manage the plant facilities and facilities related equipment, ensure they are in good condition and available for operational requirements. + Manage, coordinate, and assist with supervising maintenance contractors for the buildings and facilities equipment. + Identify, scope, plan and implement building and facilities equipment repairs/upgrade projects + Perform equipment reliability analysis on problematic equipment to identify and implement solutions + Contract negotiations for facilities maintenance contractors + Assist with inspection coordination on registered equipment such as personnel elevators + Contribute to plant housekeeping and cleanliness. + Support/execute internal controls providing reasonable assurance of effective and efficient maintenance activities, including actions to prevent and detect fraud + Provide periodic on-call technical input and maintenance repair supervision + Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors **WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR** **Education:** Bachelor’s degree **Field of Study Preferred:** Mechanical Engineering **Required Work Experience:** at least year of experience (co-op terms acceptable) in a heavy industry plant/production environment, large commercial building maintenance environment, or other background involving facilities maintenance/repair. **Required Technical Skills:** MS Office, SAP **Travel Requirements:** 5% **Additional Requirements:** + Registered EIT or eligible for registration as EIT with APEGA + Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision + Strong organizational skills, and a proven ability to perform under pressure + Good communication skills + Demonstrated problem solving skills and sound decision making based upon available information. + Demonstrated commitment to achieving organizational and personal goals + Flexible, able to adjust to changing priorities and propose improvement actions. + Able to facilitate the collaboration of people in assigned area + Proven ability to work well in a team environment (co-workers, suppliers, etc.) + Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
