Join us and make a meaningful impact on the future of energy and transportation. **Position Summary:** PECNA is looking to fill the position of Facilities Fire System Tech -Level 3. The main responsibilities of this position include maintenance and inspections of all fire systems within the facility. This position will also include involvement with a variety of facility operations and maintenance duties. **Essential Duties:** + Operate effectively in a team of fire sprinkler, fire alarm, fire extinguisher technicians conducting inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on existing systems. Facility equipment and systems include, but are not limited to: fire alarm panels, smoke detection, heat detection, manual pull stations, horn/strobe components, area speakers, duct smoke detectors, smoke/fire dampers, mass notification systems, fire pumps, fire water tank, fire riser assemblies, fire sprinklers, position-indicating valves, fire hydrants, smoke/fire doors, fire resistant insulation, and other specialty systems. + Complete all required inspections and preventative maintenance on various sizes and types of fire extinguishers. + Assist with completion of scheduled preventative maintenance, testing, and repair work for fire and life-safety systems, assessing for any deficiencies and requirements for corrective action measures. Ensure accuracy and maintenance of fire systems documentation. + Quickly respond to queries, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues that arise from the field with engineering support. + Provide input on lessons learned. + Support production and facility systems inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs. + Assist the local fire authorities, public agencies, and third-party vendors. + Complete all training required for department duties and for all PECNA personnel. + Participate in all required emergency response training and operations. + Respond to site emergencies, coordinating with relevant teams and authorities. + Communicate effectively with management and team members, providing updates and addressing concerns. + Ensure compliance with applicable laws, codes, rules, regulations, and Panasonic policies, standards, and procedures. + Depending upon workload, this position may be required to assist with other Facilities duties in addition to primary responsibilities for fire and fire life-safety systems. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and maintenance, to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner. + Report quality issues, concerns, or deviations from standards to Supervisors and Engineers in a timely manner. + Maintain detailed inspection, quality issues and deviation records as required. + Ensure adherence to quality, general plant and PECNA policies and procedures. + Ensure area cleanliness and 6S standards are met. + Ability to train others at same or lower level within functional area. + Ability to work all scheduled shifts. + Ability to meet the physical demands and the PPE requirements of the role. **Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:** + To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees’, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. + Chem Tech Hard Hat Required at all times, No Bump Caps due to Bump caps not being Cal rated + Chem Tech Full PAPR required at Times + Chem Tech Flame Resistant Uniforms Required at All Times this will be worn under PAPR and 40 Cal Suits + Chem Techs Safety Vest required if Uniform not available due to shipping. + Fire Techs/Chem Techs, Required 40Cal Arch Suit when Zero Volt Verifying **_The foregoing description is not intended and should not be construed to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills and efforts or work conditions associated with the job.
