Job Description
As a Facilities Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for setting up and operating assigned production equipment, utilizing both automated systems and manual placement techniques. You will aim to achieve high standards of quality, efficiency, and productivity while ensuring that equipment and processes remain within acceptable parameters through quality audits and troubleshooting.
ResponsibilitiesSetup and operate assigned production equipment, ensuring quality, efficiency, and productivity.Monitor equipment operations to ensure assemblies are built to specifications and comply with workmanship standards.Conduct quality audits and troubleshoot to ensure equipment and processes are within acceptable parameters.Essential SkillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print.Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.Basic understanding of SMT theories, such as reflow profiling and screen printing defects.Advanced component identification skills and ability to recognize different types of solder paste and their applications.Mechanical skills to troubleshoot and correct mechanical problems with production equipment.Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent.Work Environment
The intern will work on the manufacturing floor, specifically within the SMT group. The position offers a first shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and a weekend shift from Friday to Sunday, 3:15 pm to 3:45 am. The role provides overtime opportunities with a 40-hour monthly bonus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
