As the Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering operations and the direction of technicians, vendors, and subcontractors. This role requires a strong technical engineering background, the ability to work independently, and experience in leading a team. This position offers the chance to significantly impact operational excellence and client satisfaction. This role requires flexibility to work in Ang Mo Kio and One North, requires 24/7 on-call availability. **A typical day may involve;** A typical workday for our Technical Engineer is a blend of strategic oversight, hands-on technical expertise, and responsive action. Responsibilities include: + Adhering to all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety, ensuring a secure and compliant environment. + Overseeing daily operations, assigning and managing work orders, and providing technical and procedural training to colleagues and subcontractors. + Consulting with clients to schedule preventative maintenance and other downtime, minimizing business interruption. + Formulating and implementing a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life. + Overseeing and inspecting the work performed by engineering staff, ensuring work completion, equipment functionality, and client space in prime working condition. + Responding swiftly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed, and taking charge to resolve critical issues. This includes being available and responsive to critical incidents 24/7. + Applying in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and providing innovative solutions. + Coaching others and sharing in-depth knowledge of your own job discipline, and a broad understanding of related functions. + Leading by example and modeling behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values, working to build consensus and convince others to reach agreement. + Impacting a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your own team and other related teams. + Working within broad guidelines and policies, demonstrating the ability to work independently and make sound judgments. + Explaining difficult or sensitive information with clarity and professionalism. **Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance or facility management, particularly with M&E and Process Utility Systems. + Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards. + Proven experience in team management and leadership. + Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex technical issues. + Strong communication skills to explain difficult or sensitive information clearly and effectively. + Ability to work within broad guidelines, policies, and deadlines. + Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. + Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
