Overview The Swimming Pool Technician will services and maintain all resort swimming pools and hot tubs. They will make sure that the water is clean and safe. They will participate in the preventive maintenance program. They will work closely with the Lead Pool Technician in scheduling work and setting priorities. The Pool Tech shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the La Cantera Hill Country Resort Culture as well as promoting La Cantera Hill Country Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice! ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas. Carry out scheduled water cleaning, using chemicals like chlorine Test water quality and pH balance Clean out filtration units Service heating, circulation and de-humidifier systems Fix lights above and below water level Check and repair corrosion, cracks and leaks in the pool walls or floors Make sure equipment is in good working order Keep stock records for cleaning supplies and spare parts Attend to immediate water hygiene incidents. Log and report equipment faults or water quality problems to managers. Associate is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent vocational training. Must understand the usage of hand tools and some power tools. At least 2 years in the hospitality or service industry preferred.
