Join us and make a meaningful impact on the future of energy and transportation. **Position Summary:** The Facilities Chemical Tech Level 4 operate and supports chemical processing equipment, including pumps, reverse osmosis systems, and mixers. Key responsibilities include collecting samples during the production process for testing and ensuring that all delivery data, batch records, and operating parameters are accurately documented. This role contributes to process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and minimize waste. **Essential Duties:** + Operate and support chemical processing equipment and machinery, including pumps, reverse osmosis deionized water treatment systems, mixers, and other related apparatus. + Completing work orders as prioritized, generating work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), accurately logging time, and providing comprehensive written and verbal communication pertaining to solutions and resolutions. + Ability to collaborate with and oversee the Chemical Team by directives from team leadership and as required by departmental needs. + Monitor and manage central processes to ensure operations are conducted safely and efficiently while promptly addressing emerging issues. + Conduct regular control checks on raw materials and intermediates for final delivery to the site for production needs to ensure adherence to specifications and standards. + Record the check-in and check-out procedures for chemical loads. + Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to mitigate risks and uphold a secure working environment. + Collect samples during site production for testing and analysis. + Ensure all delivery data pertinent to the production area is thoroughly documented and recorded, including batch records and the relevant operating parameters. + Assist in developing and implementing process improvements aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing waste. + Engage collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineers, chemists, facilities operations personnel, and maintenance technicians to diagnose equipment issues and optimize production processes effectively. + Conduct routine and non-routine maintenance activities on equipment, including cleaning, calibration, and minor repairs. + The capability to effectively collaborate with team members and engage with other teams, internally and externally, as the position requires. + Remain informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and facilitate continuous improvement. + Facilitate the initial response to hazardous materials incidents in collaboration with the Facilities Operations Supervisor and other relevant parties. + Any additional tasks as needed and assigned by the Facilities Operations Lead Technicians or Supervisor. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and maintenance, to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner. + Report quality issues, concerns, or deviations from standards to Supervisors and Engineers in a timely manner. + Maintain detailed inspection, quality issues and deviation records as required. + Ensure adherence to quality, general plant and PECNA policies and procedures. + Ensure area cleanliness and 6S standards are met. + Ability to train others at same or lower level within functional area. + Ability to work all scheduled shifts. + Ability to meet the physical demands and the PPE requirements of the role. **Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:** + To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees’, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. It is intended to be an accurate reflection of the general nature and level of the job._** **Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred** **Education** + **Required:** A high school diploma, GED, or at least two years of experience as a Chemical Processing Technician/Facilities Maintenance Technician or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + **Preferred:** Associate of Science in Engineering (ASE) or an Associate of Applied Science focused on chemical engineering or a related field. **Essential Qualifications** + Minimum of 4.5 years of related work experience. + At least two to four years of proven experience as a Chemical Process Technician or in a comparable position. + A valid state-issued driver's license and the ability to operate a vehicle as necessitated by the position's responsibilities. + Three years or more experience in a manufacturing or production environment + Demonstrate moderate ability in troubleshooting across electrical and mechanical disciplines, utilizing guidance when necessary. + Possess moderate knowledge and ability in using hand tools, power tools, digital voltmeters, and alignment testing equipment. + The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently while collaborating with and supporting internal and external team members according to the demands of the role or department. + At least three years of experience successfully following safety and chemical regulations, specifically those established by OSHA and the EPA. + Ability to commit to working rotating shifts and to undertake overtime, as necessary. + Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety by meticulously adhering to established safety protocols and procedures. + HAZWOPER experience + Experience in Hazard Communication Regulations, which includes the proper procedures for donning and doffing Personal Protective Equipment as necessary, as well as the systematic review of Safety Data Sheets for new materials. + Ability to lift heavy objects and effectively perform the physical demands needed for this position including prolonged standing and functioning within confined spaces. + Proficient in the English language, encompassing adeptness in reading, writing, and verbal communication. **Preferred Qualifications:** + 6+ years of related work experience. **Preferred License(s):** None **Preferred Certification(s):** + Hazardous Materials Technician + Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) **Physical Demands** **Physical Activities:** Percentage of time (equaling 100%) during the normal workday the employee is required to: + Sit: 30% + Walk: 30% + Stand: 30% + Lift: 10% **Required Lifting and Carrying:** _Not required (0%), Occasional (1-33%), Frequent (34-66%, Continuous (67-100%)_ For this position, the required frequency is: + Up to 10 lbs.: Frequent + Up to 20 lbs.: Occasional + Up to 35 lbs.: Occasional + Team-lift only (over 35 lbs.): Occasional **Who We Are:** Meet Panasonic Energy (https://careers.na.panasonic.com/life-at-panasonic) !
