STGi is currently seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Manager to join our team.
JOB SUMMARY: Manages and oversees the onsite maintenance of the three clinics inside Yellowstone National Park as defined in this document. The operations include Mammoth Hot Springs, which operates year-round; Lake and Old Faithful which are seasonal facilities, open mid-April through October each year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Supports and participates in educational and quality improvement processes as it relates to facilities, maintenance, and janitorial duties.
•Supports and cooperates with the Project Manager to ensure optimal clinic operation and further STGi Health LLC’s organizational goals.
•Develops Spring opening Standard Operating Procedure to bring all residences up to operational status.
•Uses Fall close down procedures as outlined in the procedure manual in conjunction with NPS.
•Ensures all projects, maintenance duties and cleaning duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring all safety regulations are met, to include OSHA.
•Organizes winter roof snow removal as dictated by snow levels using approved safety devises and procedures as outlined by OSHA.
•Sources, hires and directly supervises contracted seasonal maintenance crews (2-6) for start-up / close down/ winter roof snow removal at Lake Clinic, operations and large maintenance projects, leading by example and participating in all aspects of work.
•Submits work orders through the appropriate channels to National Park Service where applicable.
•Oversees janitorial services and maintenance of the clinic facilities to ensure neat and orderly conditions, promotes and provides clinics that are clean, safe, free of fire hazards, and meets all applicable standards for a healthy clinic operating in the state of Wyoming.
•Coordinates with NPS Commercial Services and other NPS departments, and does walkthrough of facility review and inspections.
•Coordinates any temporary services to perform additional duties to meet opening operations.
•Transports any items directly related to clinics from Mammoth to Old Faithful or Lake Clinic as well as any other logistical needs such as purchasing additional equipment or supplies that will be expensed, haul trailers, and drive personnel if needed.
•Works with Clinic Administrator and Project Manager to identify/support needs of Clinic Operations, Staff housing, NPS, community, STGi Health LLC and contract requirements/SOW.
•Manages winterizing all units rented/leased by STGi Health LLC for off peak season.
•Prepares for peak season services by initiating all utilities, services, and functions to operate clinics and house personnel in NPS set aside lodging sites.
•Responsible for all facility operations of the assigned clinics.
•Develops a plan to repair larger items and discusses with Project Manager when there is a significant financial impact.
•Recognizes hazardous wiring or plumbing and develops plan to upgrade in conjunction with the Project Manager.
•Works with NPS Fire Chief to obtain Certificate of Occupancy of Lake Clinic and all STGi housing in the park each spring. Coordinates all Fire Suppression System needs and repairs with STGi contracted service companies and/or NPS Fire Chief. Maintains files of all the above and coordinates with Project Manager.
Day to Day Maintenance Responsibilities:
Responsible to ensure general maintenance items and tasks are performed and include but are not limited to:
•Opening of clinics and facilities as needed beginning in early April when Park roads open.
•Landscaping maintenance for the Mammoth, Old Faithful, and Lake clinics.
•Normal or routine cyclic or preventive maintenance.
•Routine plumbing of clinics and staff housing.
•Replacement and repair of light fixtures and replacement of light bulbs, rubber gaskets and other small parts of valves and replacement and repair of plumbing fixtures.
•Normal roof upkeep, such as repair of minor leaks, cleaning of rain gutters, and removal of accumulated debris that might trap water.
•Painting of areas chipped through daily use.
•Cleaning or servicing of equipment.
•Litter removal.
•Assist in recycling and e-cycling for Mammoth, Old Faithful, and Lake clinics
•Snow and ice removal from all sidewalks associated with the clinic facilities, including use of a snow blower.
•Maintenance of furnishings.
•Recognition and repair of broken items as such as soap dispensers, leaking faucets or pipes, burned out light bulbs.
•Painting of facilities as needed to maintain a fresh and clean appearance and according to cyclic maintenance plan.
•Close down of clinics and facilities as needed to winterize and protect functionality.
•Uses close down resource document to guide process and modifies document as needed to reflect current practice.
•Grounds maintenance to include snow removal, leaf and pine needle removal, weed remediation, and grounds fire suppression needs as defined by NPS.
•Maintains boilers on an ongoing and preventative basis, including winterizing each fall and restarting in spring.
•Asset management of clinic equipment, housing, and maintenance equipment.
•Tracking and ensuring routine maintenance and repair of work vehicle, maintaining accurate records of all work performed, including parts inventory and work orders.
