Aon Facultative Reinsurance Solutions are building out our Data and Digital strategy team to drive engagement of our new proprietary all class of business facultative facility in the London Market. This hybrid working position, with flexibility to work both virtually and in our London office, will lead engagement and analysis of placements with our Global broking and Strategy and Execution teams to ensure high levels of utilisation across the business!

What the day will look like
This role spans across Aon’s Global Facultative Reinsurance team, over 20 lines of business and working with a broad spectrum of teams to evolve the facultative broking strategy and distribution channels of the solution line.
The position will report to the Facultative Facilities Director and work with regional network broking colleagues to deliver market-leading solutions to Aon clients, creating a competitive advantage in our placement strategies worldwide.
+ Data analyst dedicated to Aon Client Treaty (ACT) within the Reinsurance Facultative team
+ Work alongside Aon Underwriting Managers (AUM) and the Strategy and Technology Group (STG) in maximising utilisation of ACT across the regional Aon Re facultative broking teams
+ Helping to shape and develop the ACT submission process within Reinsurance Solutions
+ Working in conjunction with the Facilities Data Director to enhance the Fac Reinsurance contribution in respect to reduction of indexation risk and work alongside the Reinsurance regions to manage both the new business and renewal pipeline
+ Develop a detailed understanding of the Facultative Reinsurance portfolio and what is in scope for Aon Client Treaty (ACT) – including client numbers, segmented by region, country, size, product, industry, class of business etc.
+ Understand the key exposure analysis along with attachment and limit profiles
+ Analysis of pre and post binding of facultative placements into ACT through regular (daily / monthly) investigations of the business submitted from all country and regional facultative teams via our GRiDS & FDT proprietary trading platforms.
+ Ensure compliance with internal / external regulatory requirements, binding authority management protocols and standards.
+ Build working relationships with our regional facultative broking teams across country and class of business and those actively managing the ACT within each team.
+ Working with leaders across the firm to understand the performance of current and future facilities
+ Ensure that robust performance management and training and competence processes are in place and that actions are implemented in a timely manner.
+ Ensure all FCA regulations and internal compliance requirements are adhered to in a timely manner
+ Ensure all agreed practices and tools are actively and consistently applied.
How this opportunity is different
This is a new opportunity within Aon’s Facultative Reinsurance Solution Line following the recent expansion of Aon Client Treaty (ACT) for the Global Facultative Reinsurance portfolio.
Reporting to the Facultative Facilities Director, you will work alongside the Facultative Reinsurance CEO’s, Aon Underwriting Managers (Aon’s UK in house MGA), the Strategy Technology Group and senior Facultative Reinsurance Brokers across regions globally ensuring that ACT for Fac placements, both current and future manifestations, is relevant and fit for purpose and that ACT client benefits are consistently and clearly communicated to all interested parties.
In addition, to ensure all current placements are working effectively and efficiently and meeting indexation requirements by working alongside our senior brokers and the Fac Reinsurance Data and Analytics team.
Portfolio Solutions are of increasing relevance and a driver for growth within Aon Reinsurance Solutions’ distribution and broking strategy as we look to provide maximum benefits to our clients.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
+ Solid knowledge and expertise in insurance/reinsurance broking practices
+ Analytical approach with determination to explore different data sets
+ Ability to work in a team environment as well as self-directed tasks
+ Solid levels of IT / platform proficiency
+ Knowledge and experience of data and digital transformation in the market
+ Strong social skills, capable of interacting effectively with both external clients and internal business collaborators.
+ Proven track record of working to tight deadlines on given analytical tasks
