Facilitator of Related Services and Medicaid Reimbursement
QUALIFICATIONS: + Valid Arkansas license to practice physical or occupational therapy + Three years of therapy experience + Two years in a supervisory role preferred + Extensive knowledge of Arkansas Medicaid Reimbursement REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education JOB GOAL: Assist the Director and Associate Director of Special Education with the coordination of Speech, OT and PT services, provide direct therapy services and provide leadership/management of all Medicaid reimbursement programs. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: + Planning, developing and implementing therapy services for students, including services related to IDEA and 504. + Provide direct therapy services as outlined in the job description of Staff Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapist in accordance with issued license and qualified discipline area. + Manage and direct district-wide Medicaid billing for OT/PT/ST, vision and hearing, personal care and other billable services as appropriate, including keeping apprised of technical audit/review procedures. + Meet with therapy groups monthly and the Associate Director more frequently if needed to provide updates and ongoing support. + Manage, direct, train and compile data for the district’s ARMAC and personal care billing programs. + Maintain productive relationships between therapy-related personnel, central office/school administrative staff and outside education/therapy agencies. + Establish and maintain relationships with outside/private therapy providers for contracting services as needed for program coverage and medical leaves. + Assist in planning and directing in-service related to Medicaid reimbursement and the education of all related services personnel. + Assist the Associate Director in selecting and assigning OT/PT personnel. + Assist the Director with contracted therapy procurement and administrative oversight of associated processes, including contract development and implementation. + Help to develop and maintain the policies, rules and regulations of the programs outlined above. + Inventory, maintain and obtain quotes for current evaluations and protocols available for therapy use. + Work directly with the Special Education coordinators and examiners as a liaison for therapy-related issues. + Assist with data entry, parent phone calls, conferences and treatment. + Maintain current licenses on all therapy providers. + Assist in performing all duties outlined by PCSSD school board policies and/or Federal and State guidelines. + Perform other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary Range: Range 12 - Support Staff Daily Salary Schedule ($304.54 - $441.77)/day depending on relevant experience) Length of Contract: 200 contract days FLSA Status: Exempt Personnel Status: Classified Benefits Eligible: Yes EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated according to provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
