Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Facilities Maintenance Tech for their SBCH Plant Operations department responsible for maintaining and repairing existing hospital equipment and buildings. Installs general new equipment and fixtures, prepares and applies paint to walls, floors, ceilings, fixtures, and other objects and surfaces. Responsibilities include:

Maintains and repairs wood components as needed to help ensure hospital facilities are maintained in a neat and attractive manner, consistent with standards appropriate for a healthcare facility.  Maintains planted areas of hospital and assists with ground maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently. 

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

Minimum: California Driver’s License.

Technical Requirements:

Preferred: Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of basic gardening methods and practices. 

Years of Related Work Experience:

Preferred: 1 year in related field
