This position works within the Fabrication Department and is responsible for cutting and polishing glass as well as the operation of the tempering oven.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Properly moving glass from one area of the plant to the other; potentially utilizing the help of overhead crane(s); Lifting and handling glass Verify glass dimensions and product specifications Scoring glass with CNC cutting table or by hand Operate the glass tempering oven Responsible for the input of detailed specifications for precise machining Responsible for communicating incomplete, damaged, or incorrect work to supervisor Ensuring glass meets quality standard through the workflow Keeping work area clean and free from debris Clean equipment and basic preventative maintenanceQUALIFICATIONS: Prior glass fabrication experience required Experience with machinery used in moving and scoring glass Experience with furnace or tempering oven operations Team oriented and willingness to be coached Dedicated, passionate for performing outstanding work Safety oriented with a positive attitude Must be capable of standing for long periods of time Must be capable of repeatedly lifting 50lbs High school diploma or GED

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position works in a glass manufacturing plant and Is exposed to Glass cutting and glass lifting equipment.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting 50lbs on a continuous basis throughout the day Is required.
