**Fabrication - Sr. Staff Engineer**

**Opportunity**
BASIC FUNCTION
This self-motivated associate will develop, improve and maintain project-engineering programs with direction and prioritization from Reynosa Engineering Manager. This Staff Engineer will have a primary focus on the Fabricated Stainless Steel Sink products, consistent with industry standard engineering practices, “Kohler Operating System” (Factory Master Plan, Factory Playbook, Safety-NOMS and Ergonomic) principals and company policies, so the facility will operate with minimal interruption and will meet its current and future production and cost objectives.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Creates cost standards for fabricated products (laser cut/press brake bend/P4/weld, and related operations as needed) and maintains frequent contact with FMG Accounting Group. Standards include material usage and blank sizes, revert material estimates, and indirect material consumables.
Responsible for all fabrication related production processes to ensure all operations yield products meeting KPI’s, Operation Certifications, related operation’s documentation and acceptance criteria as defined in the engineered product requirements. Develop PFMEA which will remain dynamic through the life cycle of the product and processes. Assist in developing a Control Plan (Plan for Every Part) with quality engineering.
Develop and implement improvements in the processes, working methods, equipment, fixtures, tools, welding and polishing and/or operation sequences in order to improve efficiency.
Primary lead for fabrication operation labor standards, monthly labor requirements, machine utilization and capacity measurements/analysis.
Provide support to maintenance supervision in maintaining and troubleshooting the manufacturing processes, tools and dies, fixtures, laser cutting, and welding equipment.
Create, development and implementation of capital projects in Stainless Steel fabrication areas using project management methodologies with a focus on timing and budget constraints.
Responsible for capital purchase process and related analysis for the justification and purchase of capital equipment through corporate programs.
Working knowledge and experience of MIG, TIG, Fiber Laser, Fiber Laser w/FW, Plasma and other welding methods.
Proficient in the following:
AutoCAD
Creo, optional Solidworks or Rhino3DM
Creo Sheet Metal and related flat blank development
Amada Laser Programming
Salvagnini P4 Programming
Cincinnati Press Brake Programming
Able to travel (USA and Mexico and possible Asia and Europe).
**Skills/Requirements**
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 6 years experience in a manufacturing operation specific to afore mentioned fabrication methods and equipment. Effective oral and communication skills required, along with the ability to use an analytical approach in solving problems. Working Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based software applications. 100% Verbal/Written Bilingual skills required. Candidate must have or have the ability to qualify for business travel USA visa.
