Fabrication Project Coordinator

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Project Engineer works in the Manufacturing area, reporting directly to the Manager responsible for the area. The Project Coordinator must implement all Services and Equipment, respecting the plant's capacity for the equipment required for manufacturing operations. He or she will be responsible for the development, implementation, and daily support of each piece of equipment used in his or her area. The Project Engineer is the first point of contact regarding equipment modifications in the area and is also responsible for maintaining all equipment and infrastructure in optimal operating condition.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
• Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Mechatronics)
• 3 or more years of experience in a similar position

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS
• Bilingual (80% English and Spanish) both oral and written
• AutoCAD
• Six Sigma methodologies
• Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding processes
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity
• Building Code
• Experience in construction is desirable

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop industrially engineered equipment and machinery to support production needs.
• Build, maintain, and improve plant services in your area according to regulations
• Design machinery, equipment, and services for production that meet safety and quality standards
• Define safety device requirements for plants and equipment.
• Maintain the plant design.
• Create, deliver, and update work instructions for equipment use.
• Create and maintain a spare parts list and create a preventive maintenance program for the equipment.
• Support daily operations.
• Provide the required information in SAP.
• Review plant utility consumption against plant capacity.
• Provide all information required for PPAP.
• Implement lean manufacturing ideology.
• Create and maintain the annual machine safety certification.
• Monitor the evolution of government H&S requirements for equipment, plants, and the environment.
• Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the department supervisor.
• Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) determined for their role in relation to ISO 9001:2015.
• Comply with safety regulations determined according to their role.
• Complete planned training sessions related to Quality and Training on time.
• Identify and report any quality and compliance issues and support corrective actions.
