Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
+ 2 years of experience working in a cleanroom technical environment.
+ 2 years of experience working in semiconductor device R&D or production environments with responsibilities related to wet or dry etching.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
+ 5 years of experience working in semiconductor device R&D or production environments with responsibilities related to wet or dry etching.
+ Experience with SPC, manufacturing execution systems (MES), change control, standard operating procedure writing, and technician training.
+ Experience with one or more of: Materials characterization, CAD tools, failure analysis, tool spec and purchase, and data analysis/visualization.
In this role, you will be developing and sustaining semiconductor processes related primarily to wet and dry etching in a cleanroom environment. You will be developing novel fabrication techniques, continuously improving and sustaining existing processes, creating proper documentation, effectively summarizing and communicating results, and training others on the proper use of process equipment. You should be comfortable working on your own and are expected to collaborate effectively with fellow teammates. This role is crucial to our success as we continue to improve the performance and reliability of our devices.

Google Quantum AI's mission is to build this computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Implement procedures, create clear documentation, and train technicians on production/development tool sets.
+ Provide on demand fabrication process and equipment troubleshooting.
+ Be responsible for additional areas, including thin film deposition, photolithography, thermal processes, singulation, metrology, or packaging.
+ Develop and sustain semiconductor microfabrication processes primarily related to wet and dry etching.
+ Fabricate Google’s next generation quantum devices.
